Plasma Actuator Diagram

Dielectric Barrier Discharge plasma actuators consist of two electrodes separated by a dielectric material. When high voltage is applied, the air above the exposed electrode ionizes, creating plasma that induces a flow known as ionic wind. This allows for precise control of boundary layers on aerodynamic surfaces, enhancing lift, reducing drag, and improving overall efficiency.
